Alhambra - Granada
In Granada´s heart is Alhambra, the moorish palace and fortress. The building is stunning and well worth a visit. This foto is taken from Albaicin, in the street Paseo de la Tristes (walkway of the sad). Albaicin is the old moorish city. The foto was taken by my friend Bruno Neron-Bancel Fernandez.
Another great viewing point is the parador de San Nicolas (lookout of San Nicolas). |

El Torcal de Antequera
Just outside the town of Antequera (half way between Granada and Malaga), lies El Torcal mountains. The limestone mountains have been moulded by the forces of nature into wonderful, wierd shapes. Here you see sheep climbing over some interesting pancake like formations. |
El Churro
This gorge is near Malaga. The old road that you can see cantilevering off the rock, took you through the gorge.

Semana Santa 2001 (Easter) in Granada.
This beautiful image of mary is the final to be carried through the streets of Granada. What you cant see is the 40 or so men carrying her. The men step in time leading to a rythmical swaying of the virgen and candles above. |

The easter procession has stopped. The marching band takes this opportunity to have a rest. This band member has revealed a figure of christ hidden inside his hat. |
